Position Summary
The Parking Coordinator is a member of the Parking team, responsible for assisting in the management of parking initiatives and day-to-day activities for the Calgary Stampede. This position involves performing daily set-up activities, coordinating employees and performing minor repairs to the Parking department’s assets.
We have 3 open positions.
The Parking Coordinator positions available are casual-part-time positions that will require the successful candidate to work flexible hours throughout the week.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to :
- Ensure all guests, volunteers and employees have an exceptional experience while visiting Stampede Park.
- Maintain parking equipment including pay machines, parking fence and various signage.
- Lead shift briefings for staff on duty and transport attendants to designated locations.
- Coordinate breaks for Parking employees and provide coverage for breaks to keep the parking lots maintained.
- Organize employee schedules, correct any errors and notify employees of any changes in a timely manner.
- Perform minor repairs to the Parking department’s assets, as required.
- Assist guest with general requests, inquiries and concerns promptly and with courtesy.
- Communicate Stampede policies and procedures to guests in a professional, friendly and polite manner.
- Have a thorough understanding of events and facilities on Park in order to provide information and directions to guests.
- Ensure Stampede security and safety procedures are adhered to and communicate any safety or security concerns promptly.
