Job descriptionPrior exposure to a manufacturing environment preferred. Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand / power tools preferred. Strong dexterity and hand-eye coordination required. Must be able to keep up with production needs in a fast-paced, high-speed machinery environment. Basic computer skills required. Basic math skills – addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division required. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time with frequent twisting, bending, push / pull and repetitive tasks. Routine lifting and occasional heavy lifting. (up to 40 lbs.). Must be a good communicator (speaking / listening / reading / writing) and able to work well in a collaborative environment. High School Diploma or equivalent required. Successful candidates must be willing and able to work all shifts, including but not limited to, days, afternoons, evenings, and weekends, 12 hour rotating shifts, and statutory holidays as per the Collective Agreement, without exception, in a 24 / 7 manufacturing environment. Candidates unable to work any of these shifts will not be considered for the job. Standing for extended periods (8-12 hours). Awkward and / or repetitive movements, including push / pull, bending, twisting, above shoulder lifting. Lifting 10-40lbs. Reading computer screen or other electronic devices. Use of various hand and electrical tools and equipment. Noisy environment with fluctuating temperatures.

JOB FUNCTIONS : (the listing below is an overview of the role and does not encompass every requirement of the job).
- Perform manual labor duties in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while working under tight production deadlines.
- Uses PIV to move inventory / product.
- Safely perform all tasks on and around equipment.
- Working as part of a team to maximize productivity and efficiency in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to learn new tasks.
- Standing – 8 – 12 hours / shift.
- Must follow all company policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned and required.
