Outdoor Leadership Co-op Student Placement Opportunity 1 position available beginning February 13, 2025, end date to be determined The Simcoe County District School Board is seeking applicants for an Outdoor Leadership co-op student position. The successful candidate will be required to work in a collaborative team to support the principal and teachers with the Outdoor Leadership program. Outdoor learning / activities will occur on a daily basis and in all weather conditions. Location : Education Centre - Midhurst, Ontario Rate of pay : 1st year co-op placement - $19.04 per hour + 4% vacation pay.2nd year co-op placement - $20.28 per hour + 4% vacation pay.3rd year co-op placement - $21.55 per hour + 4% vacation pay. Start Date : February 13, 2025 Required Qualifications : Previous co-op student.Must have lived experience and be willing to work outdoors in any weather.The ability to infuse Indigenous knowledge and worldviews would be an asset as the program incorporated an Indigenous perspective and ways of leadership.An ability to work with both adults and elementary students preferred.Good interpersonal, organizational and communications skills.The ability to work individually and as a collaborative team member.Other duties as required. Preferred Qualifications : Understanding of Indigenous history, and culture Ways of Knowing.Previous Experience working in an Outdoor Education setting.
