Our client, a leading Canadian mechanical contractor specializing in heavy industrial projects, is seeking a Project Administrator to join their team on a permanent basis. This full-time role is based in Port Coquitlam, BC, with travel to project sites as required.
Key Responsibilities :
Prepare, coordinate, and maintain employee documentation within the company’s timekeeping system.
Enter, verify, and process hours for employees working on assigned projects.
Ensure compliance with all union collective agreements and timekeeping regulations.
Support project reporting requirements assigned by the Project Manager / Project Coordinator.
Respond to payroll inquiries and resolve any issues from employees.
Provide additional administrative support as needed for the project team.
Ideal Candidate Requirements :
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
Proactive, self-motivated, and able to problem-solve independently.
Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Experience with Microsoft Office, payroll entry, and unionized trade workers.
Must be willing to travel up to 50% of the year.
