Job Description

We are hiring a summer student to work 3-5 days a week in our established, modern eye care office located in Newmarket, ON at 18075 Leslie Street. We are a 40-year-old practice called Eyes Plus Ears that combines ophthalmology, optometry, and audiology.

If you're looking to learn a lot and be a part of a fun, friendly team, then our office would love to have you. The successful candidate will be responsible for doing work-ups for patients before they see our retinal ophthalmologist, Dr. Amy Sze. They will be directly supervised by our optometrists and ophthalmologist and will learn how patients are co-managed between optometry and ophthalmology. As a disease-based practice, this is a great practice to join if you want exposure to pathology management.

Responsibilities

• Pre-testing
• Case history
• Visual acuity measurement
• IOP measurement
• VF and OCT
• Contact lens fittings / teaches
• Eyewear dispensing
