Business Acumen : Deep understanding of P&L management, capital allocation, and levers that drive EBITDA. Agility : Ability to pivot quickly when business priorities shift. Influence without Authority : Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders without a direct reporting line. Self-Directed : High bias for action; comfortable operating in the gray and building own structure. Expertise in managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders. Experience in M&A integration or corporate development considered an asset. Strong financial modeling and spreadsheet skills.
Director of Business Operations, Eastern Canada
This role focuses on capital program management, M&A integration, and strategic project leadership for Eastern Canada.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and shepherd the allocation and execution of the $30 million annual capital budget for Eastern Canada.
- Partner with local operations to prioritize projects that drive the highest ROI.
- Monitor project milestones and spend to ensure all capital investments are delivered on time and within budget.
- Support and lead "First 90 Days" post-close for new acquisitions in the area.
- Identify and extract tangible operational synergies (e.g., procurement savings, route density, consolidation) to meet or exceed deal models.
- Act as a "Special Projects" lead for the Area Leadership Team, tackling complex business challenges such as facility expansions, brownfield / greenfield opportunities.
- Provide high-level project management and consulting to other Business Leaders to help them unlock growth or efficiency opportunities.
- Navigate ambiguous environments to turn high-level strategic goals into actionable workstreams.
