We are in search of a Tax Preparer to join our team in the finance industry based in Langley, British Columbia. This role will involve managing the tax preparation process, ensuring data accuracy, and delivering top-notch customer service.
Responsibilities :
- Oversee the tax preparation process, including T1's, with minimal supervision.
- Ensure precise data entry and maintenance of customer credit records.
- Review and verify the accuracy of scanned slips and other financial documents.
- Handle the preparation of self-employment business income, rental income, and capital gains / losses.
- Collaborate with administrative staff for efficient preparation of financial documents.
- Utilize various accounting software systems to maintain and update financial data.
- Resolve customer inquiries timely and professionally.
- Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions as needed.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of allowances and deductions to maximize customer benefits.
- Foster a customer-focused environment, ensuring top-notch customer service at all times.
- Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential
- Experience with ADP - Financial Services is required
- Familiarity with CCH ProSystem Fx is a must
- Knowledge of CCH Sales Tax is beneficial
- Competency in Drake Tax Software is necessary
- Understanding of Accounting Functions is crucial
- Ability to calculate Allowances accurately is needed
- Excellent Customer Service skills are required
- Data Entry proficiency is a must
- Knowledge in identifying and calculating Deductibles is necessary
