Vertex is seeking a dynamic Field / Plant Operators and Instrumentation Technician to join our team as Senior LDAR Technicians. If you have experience with upstream processes and repair procedures, this is your chance to be part of the growing emission management field.
As a Senior LDAR Technician (Field / Plant Operators and Instrumentation Technician), you’ll play a crucial role in our field mission management team, ensuring compliance through Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) surveys across Alberta and Saskatchewan. Leveraging your expertise in oil and gas operations troubleshoot Leaks and excessive venting issues with recommendations for repair.
This role involves working on a rotational schedule of 15 days on, 6 days off, with 12-hour shifts, in varying environments across western Canada.
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS
- Essential : Trade or Certificate in Instrumentation, Power Engineering Certificate, or a related construction trade.
- Preferred Experience : Experience in leak detection, oil and gas processing, or petrochemical facilities.
- Regulatory Knowledge : Familiarity with AER Directive 060, MOE PNG036, and BC DPR Emission Regulations.
- Physical Requirements : Ability to work in diverse weather conditions, navigate work sites, and handle climbs on ladders and stairs.
- Technical Skills : Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and other relevant computer applications.
- Soft Skills : Strong work ethic, self-motivation, teamwork, decision-making, integrity, and confidentiality.
