Position Description
This position will provide leadership and will participate in planning, developing and implementing summer children's programs under the guidance of the Curator (and Assistant Curator), ensuring activities are safe and inclusive.
- Facilitate museum summer programs for children aged 5-10.
- Prepare and organize necessary program equipment, supplies and first aid supplies prior to and during programming.
- Keep attendance records; maintain accurate records and promptly report absences, issues or concerns to the Curator.
- Monitor participants' conduct; prioritize and ensure child's well‑being, safety and protection throughout programming.
- Communicate with parents and guardians providing program information and schedule information.
- Recruit and train youth volunteers to assist with summer children's program.
- Assist with customer service, special events, outreach activities, tours, exhibitions, collections management, gift shop sales and routine museum operations.
- Other duties as required.
Requirements
Note : Must be willing to work weekends, evenings and holidays. Employment is conditional upon attendance at all training sessions, submission of required documentation / certification, adherence to the minimum age requirements and ability to meet the employment term. At time of application must be enrolled in a post‑secondary education institution or institution of higher learning. Applicants must submit a criminal record check (dated within the last 3 months) from their local police service for approval prior to commencing employment.

Duration : The duration of this contract will be approximately 4 months. Applicants are expected to fulfill the entire contract period commencing April 29, 2026, until September 4, 2026.
