Job descriptionAucune gestion administrative des dossiers d’accidents de travail n’est requise pour ce poste. Agir comme agent de changement en matière de prévention en santé et sécurité auprès des employés et des gestionnaires. Conseiller la direction sur l’application des lois et règlements en santé, sécurité et environnement. Développer, mettre en œuvre et assurer le suivi des règlements, procédures et programmes en SSE. Élaborer, appliquer et évaluer le plan de prévention et le plan d’action en santé et sécurité. Inspecter et évaluer les lieux de travail, les équipements et les processus opérationnels afin d’assurer leur conformité aux réglementations et aux normes de l’entreprise. Collaborer avec les différents départements lors de l’introduction de nouveaux produits et équipements. Réaliser des analyses de risques liées à l’environnement et à la santé et sécurité (ex. introduction de nouvelles substances, sécurité des machines). Coordonner et assister les équipes dans les enquêtes et analyses d’accidents / incidents. Analyser les rapports d’enquête et les statistiques en SSE, proposer des actions correctives et en assurer le suivi. Concevoir et mettre en place des programmes de formation et d’information en SSE conformes aux exigences réglementaires et corporatives. Organiser et animer des ateliers de sensibilisation pour les employés et gestionnaires. Coordonner, animer et faire le compte rendu des réunions du comité SST et suivre l’avancement des actions décidées. Sélectionner et proposer les équipements de protection individuelle en concertation avec le comité SST. Superviser et coordonner les prestataires externes en SSE (ex. consultants, ergonomes, etc.). Développer, améliorer et gérer le programme de prévention et d’hygiène du travail (sécurité des machines, espaces clos, cadenassage, ergonomie, amiante, travail en hauteur, protection respiratoire et auditive, SIMDUT / SGH, inspections, enquêtes d’accidents, etc.). Participer à l’intégration des nouveaux employés en matière de SST. Élaborer et mettre à jour les plans d’urgence et organiser des exercices d’intervention. Assurer les relations avec les autorités compétentes en santé, sécurité et environnement. Représenter l’entreprise en tant qu’expert en SSE auprès du groupe corporatif. Suivre et analyser les indicateurs de performance en SSE et produire les rapports requis (mensuels, semestriels, annuels). Développer et mettre en place des stratégies visant à réduire l’empreinte écologique de l’entreprise (gestion de l’eau, de l’énergie, réduction des émissions, etc.). Gérer le budget dédié à la santé et sécurité. Diplôme universitaire en sciences (ex. chimie), santé et sécurité au travail, relations industrielles ou domaine connexe, ou expérience équivalente. 7 à 10 ans d’expérience en prévention en santé et sécurité du travail, idéalement dans un environnement manufacturier. Excellente connaissance des lois et règlements en SSE au Québec. Leadership reconnu et capacité à influencer positivement. Aptitude en analyse, synthèse et résolution de problèmes. Rigueur, professionnalisme et esprit d’équipe. Expérience démontrée en gestion du changement et mobilisation des employés. Présence active sur le terrain et implication quotidienne en SSE. Excellentes compétences en communication orale et écrite. Expérience de travail en milieu syndiqué. Bilinguisme français et anglais, à l’oral et à l’écrit. Maîtrise des outils Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) ; connaissance de SAP, un atout. Act as a change agent in promoting health and safety practices among employees and managers. Advise management on the application of health, safety, and environmental laws and regulations. Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and programs. Create and evaluate the prevention and safety action plans. Conduct workplace inspections and assess equipment and operational processes for compliance. Collaborate with various departments during the introduction of new products and equipment. Perform risk analyses related to environmental and safety aspects (e.g., new substances, machine safety). Coordinate and assist teams in investigating and analyzing accidents / incidents. Review investigation reports and HSE statistics, recommend corrective actions, and ensure follow-up. Develop and deliver training and information programs that meet regulatory and corporate requirements. Organize and facilitate awareness workshops for employees and managers. Coordinate, lead, and document HSE committee meetings, following up on agreed actions. Select and recommend personal protective equipment (PPE) in collaboration with the HSE committee. Supervise and coordinate external HSE service providers (e.g., consultants, ergonomists). Develop and manage workplace hygiene and prevention programs. Support new employee integration regarding HSE. Develop and update emergency plans and organize intervention drills. Maintain relationships with regulatory authorities related to health, safety, and environment. Represent the company as an HSE expert within the corporate group. Track and analyze HSE performance indicators and produce required reports (monthly, semi-annual, annual). Develop strategies to reduce the company’s ecological footprint (e.g., water and energy management, emission reduction). Manage the health and safety budget. University degree in a related field (e.g., Chemistry, Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Relations) or equivalent experience. 7 to 10 years of experience in occupational health and safety prevention, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of HSE laws and regulations in Quebec. Proven leadership skills with the ability to positively influence others. Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Attention to detail, professionalism, and teamwork-oriented. Demonstrated experience in change management and employee engagement. Hands-on presence and daily involvement in HSE activities. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Experience working in a unionized environment. Bilingual in French and English (spoken and written). Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); knowledge of SAP is an asset.

Vos principales Responsabilités :

Job Description :
We are currently seeking a Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Manager to oversee the compliance of all Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) standards at our manufacturing facility on the North Shore of Montreal.
The HSE Manager plays a strategic and operational role in designing, managing, and supervising programs and activities related to occupational health and safety, industrial hygiene, and environmental standards. Working closely with management, the HSE Manager ensures the implementation, coordination, and monitoring of HSE policies and practices. This role is critical to maintaining regulatory compliance and deploying prevention, training, and continuous improvement measures.
