Job description

Are you a visionary clinical leader committed to improving access, quality, and recovery-oriented mental health care?

Our client is seeking a Director of Clinical Services to provide strategic, operational, and clinical leadership across our programs and services.

This is a unique opportunity to lead a multidisciplinary team dedicated to supporting individuals and families living with mental health and addiction challenges, and to shape the future of community mental health in the Niagara region.

About the Role

The Director of Clinical Services will oversee program development, service provision, and continuous quality enhancement. Reporting to the Executive Director, this role manages all clinical operations and ensures programs are client-centred, evidence-informed, and aligned with best practices.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and inspiring a team of clinical managers and staff to deliver exceptional services with compassion and integrity.
  • Developing, implementing, and evaluating clinical programs that meet the needs of our community and align with funder expectations.
  • Driving service innovation and integration to enhance client, family, and staff experiences.
  • Embedding equity, diversity, and inclusion principles in all service and staffing practices.
  • Serving as Privacy Officer and ensuring compliance with all professional, legal, and accreditation standards.
  • Supporting succession planning, professional growth, and organizational learning.
  • Building strong partnerships with funders, health system leaders, and community partners to strengthen Niagara’s mental health network.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Nursing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years of progressive management experience within community mental health, healthcare, or related human services sectors.
  • Registration in good standing with a relevant professional regulatory body.
  • Demonstrated expertise in quality improvement, program evaluation, and change management.
  • Proven success leading multidisciplinary teams and fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • Strong fiscal acumen and experience managing program budgets and funder reporting.
  • Training in First Aid, CPR, Suicide Prevention, and Crisis Intervention is an asset.
  • A valid driver’s licence and access to reliable transportation are required.

Our client takes pride in being part of a movement that values hope, recovery, and community connection. Their work is guided by compassion and grounded in evidence. They believe in empowering clients, supporting staff, and building partnerships that encourage genuine change.

As a member of the senior leadership team, the Director of Clinical Services will have the opportunity to:

  • Shape the strategic direction of our programs and services.
  • Influence system-level initiatives and advocacy efforts across Niagara.
  • Lead innovation in community-based mental health care.
  • Work alongside a team of passionate professionals committed to making a difference every day.

If you are a dynamic, forward-thinking leader who thrives in a collaborative, purposeful, and growth-focused environment, we invite you to apply and help advance their mission to make mental health care accessible to everyone. Please submit your resume to annec@theburkegroup.com
