We are actively searching for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in the Tourism industry, located in Vancouver, British Columbia. In this role, you will be pivotal in processing invoices in various currencies, ensuring accounting functions are executed efficiently, and managing a high volume of email inquiries. This role also involves utilizing accounting software systems such as NetSuite and Coupa for automation and account coding. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities :

• Efficiently process a large number of invoices in multiple currencies including USD, CAD, AUD, GBP, EUR.
• Use accounting software systems such as NetSuite and Coupa to automate and streamline processes.
• Regularly audit accounts to maintain accuracy and transparency.
• Manage a high volume of email inquiries related to accounts payable.
• Monitor and process hotel and department invoices according to their respective portfolios and departments.
• Ensure all accounting functions are performed accurately and promptly.
• Utilize your accounting knowledge to make judgement calls on key issues.
• Maintain a high level of detail to identify and resolve potential problems.
• Ensure segregation of duties and controls within the accounts payable process.
• Regularly review and update customer credit records.
• Proficiency in account coding, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
• Familiarity with various accounting software systems, showcasing adaptability and tech-savvy skills.
• Comprehensive knowledge of general accounting functions to ensure smooth operations.
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) processing, demonstrating strong financial management skills.
• Understanding of accrual accounting principles, indicating a strong foundational knowledge in accounting.
• Experience in auditing, displaying meticulous attention to detail and a high standard of integrity.
• Proficiency in using the NetSuite software, showcasing adaptability and technical capabilities.
• Experience with the Coupa software, indicating familiarity with industry-standard tools.
