Job description

A manufacturing company specializing in metal fabrication, is seeking a skilled Metal Polishing Specialist to join our team. As a Metal Polishing Specialist, you will be responsible for polishing, buffing, and finishing metal surfaces to achieve a high-quality, smooth, and reflective finish. Attention to detail and a strong understanding of different polishing techniques and materials are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

Prepares metal surfaces for polishing by cleaning, degreasing, and removing any dirt or contaminants
Polishes metal surfaces using various hand-held tools, such as sanders, grinders, and buffers
Applies polishing compounds and abrasives to achieve desired finish
Inspects finished products to ensure quality standards are met
Performs routine maintenance on polishing equipment to ensure optimal performance
Collaborates with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and on-time delivery of products

Requirements

Prior experience as a Metal Polishing Specialist or similar role

Excellent knowledge of metal polishing techniques, tools, and materials

Strong attention to detail and ability to consistently produce high-quality finishes

Experience working with different types of metal, such as stainless steel, aluminum, and brass

Ability to interpret and follow technical drawings and specifications

Physical stamina and strength to stand, bend, and lift heavy objects

Good communication and teamwork skills

High school diploma or equivalent education required

Additional certifications or training in metal polishing is a plus
