Summary of Duties :

• Provide perioperative care to patients throughout the surgical suite.
• Participate as a team member in the role of a perioperative nurse.
• Maintain patient safety through strict adherence to policies, procedures and ORNAC standards of care.
• Maintain knowledge and awareness of the patient’s condition during surgery or interventional procedures.
• Active participation in learning and teaching opportunities to continuously improve surgical patient care.
• May be required to work in other areas of the Surgical Program.
• As a role model and champion, work to identify and integrate safe, best practices into daily activities to foster the delivery of safe and exemplary care.
