New Value Solutions, a national IT consulting company, is seeking an experienced Senior Network Specialist to support a large industrial client based in Sept-Îles, Quebec. This is a full-time onsite long term contract role suited for a candidate with strong Cisco networking expertise and a proven track record of success in demanding environments, ideally within the mining or industrial sectors. Responsibilities : Manage and support all network operations at a large site Maintain and troubleshoot Cisco network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls Ensure secure access through VPN and SDWAN solutions Proactively monitor network performance and identify areas for improvement Support site-wide IT infrastructure initiatives and contribute to high availability planning Collaborate with other technical teams for root cause analysis and system upgrades Maintain documentation for network designs, configurations, and procedures Provide responsive onsite support to resolve technical issues efficiently Requirements : Minimum 6 years of experience in network administration or engineering roles Strong hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies and certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCNA, or CCIE preferred) Proficiency in managing VPNs, network security, and enterprise-level routing and switching Experience working in mining, industrial, or remote site environments is preferred Ability and willingness to work full-time onsite in Sept-Îles, Quebec Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in high-pressure environments Fluency in French is an asset but not mandatory.
