The Senior Manager, Payments Network Partnerships is responsible for overseeing the day‑to‑day partnerships with the networks, supporting the development of our payments strategy and roadmap, and ensuring all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will :
- Manage Payment Network relationships and organize the agenda between the network and operating model across Canadian Banking and key partners.
- Support network contract management & negotiation, including revenue and fee analysis, scenario planning, incentives, and ongoing contract KPI monitoring.
- Manage the incentives budget, SOW approvals, and ongoing spend.
- Provide oversight of network mandates, initiatives and operational improvements; work in collaboration with VP and Director to drive strategic direction for network optimization and future road‑maps.
- In collaboration with the Director, lead critical projects to deliver new payment solutions with a cross‑functional project team.
- Manage network reporting requirements to deepen our understanding of client behaviour, portfolio and industry trends.
- Structure internal payments discussions and updates with Payments leadership, and raise awareness on industry trends and potential implications for Scotia with key partners.
- Contribute to business cases and analysis of new payment initiatives with potential for new revenue sources, scalability and integration into additional business lines within the Bank’s Payments ecosystem.
- Champion a customer‑focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
- Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day‑to‑day activities and decisions.
- Create an environment where the team pursues effective and efficient operations in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, Code of Conduct and Global Sales Principles, while ensuring adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day‑to‑day business controls to meet obligations related to operational, compliance, AML / ATF / sanctions and conduct risk.
