Job descriptionPost-secondary degree or diploma in a related field. 5 years’ experience and an interest in Treasury. CPA or other finance and accounting designations would be preferred but not mandatory. Ability to think critically about data to help formulate conclusions for management decision making. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficient with MS Office, including Excel. Ability to prioritize deliverables and work independently. Strong attention to detail, with excellent analytical skills. An understanding and appreciation of the confidential nature of the position.
Treasury Analyst

We are excited to be partnering with our client to recruit a Treasury Analyst to join their team in Saint John, NB. We are looking for a finance and accounting professional who is interested in a challenging and rewarding work environment and who will support the group of Companies. The successful candidate will join an experienced team to support the management teams for the various companies in our group, which spans multiple industries and geographies.
Responsibilities will include :
- Bank administration for accounts including setup of new accounts, management of signatory levels and access under the guidance of the Senior Manager – Treasury.
- Assist in management of the day-to-day relationships to ensure appropriate processes and transactions.
- Assist in the opening and closing bank accounts.
- Ensure strong controls are in place and regularly reviewed.
- Facilitate wire transfers.
- Daily monitoring and reporting of cash position for all entities.
- Assist with buy and sell of US currency.
- Assist in obtaining the optimal return on cash balances and short-term investments balancing return, risk, and availability of funds.
- Monitor compliance and reporting required for all lines of credit, loans, and mortgages.
- Report on and assist in management of corporate credit card program.
- Project support to the Senior Manager – Treasury in operational improvement initiatives.
- Other related duties as assigned by the Senior Manager – Treasury.
