Company Story

This Western Canadian supplier supports drilling and production activity across key basins through a portfolio of specialized products and field-focused services.

The organization has built long-standing relationships with contractors, service companies, mud engineers, and oilfield consultants, and continues to grow its presence across Western Canada through consistent service delivery and strong customer partnerships.

The team operates in a practical, hands-on environment and values individuals who take ownership, respond quickly to customer needs, and follow through on commitments.

The Right Fit

The Technical Sales Representative is a hands-on, field-focused role responsible for managing customer relationships and driving revenue across an established territory.

This position focuses on account management, day-to-day customer support, and identifying opportunities to grow share within existing clients while developing new business. The role works closely with operations and supply chain to ensure product availability, accurate delivery, and strong customer service.

Success in this role requires someone who understands chemical applications related to oil well drilling and cementing programs, and can confidently communicate product use and value to mud engineers and oilfield consultants in the field. The right individual is responsive, commercially aware, and comfortable balancing sales activity with operational coordination.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Manage and grow relationships with existing customers across Western Canada
  • Build strong connections with mud engineers and oilfield consultants to support product adoption and usage
  • Identify new opportunities within current accounts and support new client development
  • Promote products into new and untapped industrial segments, expanding market reach beyond core channels
  • Respond to customer inquiries, provide product support, and ensure timely follow-up
  • Coordinate with operations and logistics to ensure accurate order fulfillment and delivery
  • Support pricing, quoting, and day-to-day commercial activity
  • Monitor customer activity and identify trends or gaps in service or product offering
  • Maintain regular communication with clients through site visits, calls, and meetings
  • Represent the company at customer meetings and industry events as required
What You Bring to the Table
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in oilfield services, industrial supply, or energy-related sales
  • Established relationships with mud engineers, oilfield consultants, and service companies
  • Must have a strong technical understanding of chemical applications related to oil well drilling and cementing programs
  • Experience managing accounts and supporting day-to-day customer needs
  • Ability to identify and break into new markets or industrial segments
  • Strong understanding of field operations and customer expectations
  • Ability to work closely with operations and logistics teams
  • Practical, responsive approach to customer service and problem solving
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills
What's in It for You
  • Established customer base with opportunity to grow accounts and expand into new markets
  • Hands-on role with direct impact on revenue and customer development
  • Competitive base salary with performance-based incentives
  • Supportive leadership team and stable operating environment
  • Travel within Western Canada to support clients and field activity
