Position :
Parts / Product Technician – Technical Analyst – Product Support
Objectives :
We are looking for a self-motivated, organized, and technical individual to join our product team. A knowledge of ATV / UTV or automotive service parts is an asset. Overall responsibility is to help maintain product catalogs to ensure product applications are accurate for national / international distributors and ecommerce platforms, research for new machine models and read internal technical data, drawings and BOMs to find the right fits within the company’s product list and perform data entry for the ACES database. They will also be required to troubleshoot, repair and maintain ATV / UTV / SXS and e-bikes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Must possess exceptional technical understanding and troubleshooting skills relating to the motorcycle / ATV / PWC industry.
- Conduct data analysis of warranty claims and field reports to define and prioritize quality issues.
- Daily review of ongoing investigations, forward new information from the market (Dealers, Tech-Line) to all concerned parties in a timely manner.
- Conduct warehouse rework campaigns as required : recalls, Product improvement / update campaigns.
- QIC Investigation Activity – Technical investigation to understand failure, collecting and validation of failed warranty parts and shipment of sample parts to R&D / producing factory.
- Primary support group for technical inquiries coming through Tech-Line, Customer Relations, Dealer Care, and Sales.
- Generate service publications for dealers, other departments, and zones outlining new and revised repair techniques to address issues identified recently in the market. Repairs validated prior to release of service bulletins.
- OEM parts research for new machines.
- Read technical drawings 2D / 3D and BOMs.
- Troubleshoot any technical issue in person or on the phone to help find a solution; professional manner and engaging demeanor; in person, on the phone, and online “people person”, with great communication and friendly attitude.
- Diagnose, adjust, repair or replace mechanical or electrical system parts if needed.
- Test and adjust repaired equipment for proper performance.
- Perform scheduled maintenance and service.
- Inspect and test engines to diagnose and isolate faults.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Job Type : Full-time
Pay : $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
Additional pay : Bonus pay
