The Work

Join our vibrant and forward-thinking commercial team as a Commercial Mortgage Underwriter! In this dynamic role, you'll be at the forefront of underwriting both CMHC-insured and conventional commercial mortgages. You'll navigate established policies and underwriting standards with creativity and precision, ensuring compliance while driving towards ambitious service goals and annual targets. Beyond underwriting, you'll engage in credit-related tasks, administrative responsibilities, and build strong networks with external business partners and internal teams.

The Core Responsibilities!

• Innovative Underwriting and Analysis (60%) : Underwrite loans ranging from $2.5 million to $150 million, ensuring compliance with lending guidelines and making recommendations that shape our business's future. Handle documentation efficiently and meet all lending criteria.
• Dynamic Communication and Coordination (20%) : Liaise daily with external partners and internal teams, streamlining processes and delivering exceptional customer service to meet funding deadlines and exceed expectations.
• Efficient Time Management (10%) : Manage multiple deals and tasks within deadlines, maintaining a smooth workflow through strong organizational skills.
• Strategic Administrative and Reporting Duties (10%) : Support the department with administrative and reporting tasks, providing insights that inform strategic decisions and growth.
