Strurctural Welder and Ironworker

You will work on structural and architectural steel installations across the Lower Mainland as part of a small, experienced crew. What You Will Be Doing

• Install structural and miscellaneous steel on active job sites throughout the Lower Mainland
• Weld in all positions using SMAW (stick) and flux-core processes
• Work on canopies, railings, stairs, roof structures, and architecturally exposed steel
• Perform layout, fitting, and installation of steel components in the field
• Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and specifications
• Rig, set, and position steel safely and accurately
• Work outdoors year-round while maintaining productivity and safety
• Collaborate closely with a 2–3 person crew under a lead hand

What We Are Looking For

• 2+ years of hands-on welding experience with SMAW and flux-core
• Ability to weld flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead
• Field experience installing structural steel
• Experience with ironwork and miscellaneous steel installation
• Ability to lift and position materials up to 100 lbs
• Strong safety mindset and reliability on site
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between sites

Certifications and Assets

• CWB SMAW certification in all positions
• C-level welding certification for at least one opening
• Fall protection and rigging experience
• MIG welding experience
• Architectural or higher-end exposed steel work experience
• Foundations or miscellaneous ironwork back ground

Work Schedule and Environment

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
• Regular overtime available
• Outdoor, field-based work on active construction sites
• Small crews with hands-on leadership and support
• Clean, organized, and safety-focused job sites

This role is well-suited for either a capable junior welder ready to grow or an experienced welder who can work independently and take pride in high-quality steel work.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Delta, BC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $35.00/hr.
