A graduate student position (M.Sc or PhD) is available in the Brassinga Laboratory in the Department of Microbiology (University of Manitoba) with the start date for September 2025. The research project will investigate molecular pathogenesis of water-borne bacteria Legionella pneumophila and Non-Tuberculosis Mycobacteria. The research will involve molecular biology approaches, microbial genetics and bioinformatics, microscopy, and infection host modeling. Desired applicants will hold an undergraduate degree in Microbiology with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above out of 4.5 (or an academic standing equivalent to) with proficiency in speaking, reading and writing English.
