Le Centre de santé Tulattavik de L’Ungava est situé à Kuujjuaq. Il dispense l’ensemble des services de santé et services sociaux dans la partie est du Nunavik. Il dessert sept communautés Inuites avec autant de CLSC, un centre pour personnes âgées et un centre hospitalier à Kuujjuaq. Il emploie environ 1,000 employés : administrateurs, professionnels, médecins, dentistes, psychologues, infirmiers, travailleurs sociaux, personnel de soutien, employés occasionnels, etc.

Les communautés du Nunavik sont situées au nord du 55e parallèle où prévaut un climat subarctique. Il entraîne l’existence d’un pergélisol et ne permet aucune agriculture. Le Nunavik est la plus grande région couvrant environ le tiers de la superficie globale du Québec. Aucune liaison routière n’existe entre les communautés du Nunavik et le Québec méridional, ni entre les communautés du Nunavik elles-mêmes. On a accès à cette région et à ses communautés que par avion et par bateau.

Responsibilities

TITRE D’EMPLOI : Infirmier(ère) clinicien(ne) (programme santé mentale)

SECTEUR : Direction des Services Communautaires (CLSC) Kuujjuaq

STATUT : Poste à temps partiel temporaire (37.50 heures / semaine, quart de jour)

Remplacement des vacances

SUPÉRIEUR : Chef de programmes services psychosociaux adultes

DÉBUT DE LA FONCTION : Dès que possible

SOMMAIRE DE LA FONCTION :

La personne créera et favorisera le développement de liens cliniques et administratifs entre le Centre de Santé Tulattavik de l’Ungava, via le CLSC et ses divers points de service sur la côte d’Ungava, et l’Institut universitaire en santé mentale Douglas, les organismes communautaires et les divers partenaires du Nunavik afin de promouvoir et d'assurer l'accessibilité et la continuité des soins aux patients. Elle fera le suivi de la clientèle dans la communauté, ainsi que la liaison avec le département et l’accueil psychosocial. Peut être appelée à travailler occasionnellement dans les autres programmes des services communautaires (soins à domicile, maladies chroniques, etc.). Toutes autres tâches connexes selon les besoins

Qualifications

Détenir un baccalauréat en sciences infirmières

Détenir un permis d’exercice en règle de l’OIIQ

Détenir une expérience pertinente de 2 ans en intervention auprès d’une clientèle en santé mentale

Détenir une expérience de travail avec les partenaires communautaires

Avoir une capacité d’intervenir en situation de crise (ex  : agressivité et risque suicidaire)

Connaître les aspects juridiques concernant les clients psychiatriques (ordonnances du tribunal, des mesures préventives de garde, etc.)

Être bilingue anglais / français, connaissance de l’inuktitut serait un atout

Être disponible pour voyager dans les six communautés de la Baie d’Ungava

Connaître et posséder de l’expérience avec une clientèle Inuit seraient un atout

Détenir un certificat en toxicomanie serait un atout

Permis de conduire valide obligatoire

SALAIRE : Min  : 1015.50$ / sem. Max  : 1 799.25 $ / sem.

PRIME D’ÉLOIGNEMENT : 203.66 $ / semaine

PRIME VIE CHÈRE : 74.17$ / sem. / semaine

PRIME DE RÉTENTION : 391,86 $ / sem.

Toute personne recrutée au Québec à plus de cinquante (50) kilomètres de la localité où elle est appelée à exercer ses fonctions, aura droit aux sorties annuelles et au logement fourni selon son statut. Peut être appelée à partager un logement ou vivre en transit pour une durée indéterminée, mais temporaire.

The Ungava Tulattavik Health Center is located in Kuujjuaq and offers the whole health and social services in the eastern part of Nunavik. Serving seven Inuit communities with an equal number of CLSC, a center for the elderly and the hospital in Kuujjuaq, it employs approximately 1,000 employees : administrators, professionals, doctors, dentists, psychologists, nurses, social workers, support staff, etc.

Nunavik communities are located north of the 55th parallel where a subarctic climate prevails. It implies the existence of permafrost allowing no agriculture. Nunavik is the largest region covering about a third of the total area of Quebec. No road link exists between the communities of Nunavik and southern Quebec, and between Nunavik communities themselves. We have access to the region and its communities by air travel and by boat.

JOB TITLE : Clinician Nurse (Mental health program)

SECTOR : Direction of Community Services (CLSC), in Kuujjuaq

STATUS : Temporary part-time position (37.50 hours / week, dayshift)

Vacation replacements

SUPERIOR : Head of programs (psychosocial services, adults)

STARTING DATE : As soon as possible

SUMMARY OF DUTIES :

The person will create and promote the development of clinical and administrative links between the Ungava Tulattavik Health Center through the CLSC and our different points of service on the Ungava Bay, and the Douglas Mental Health University Institute, the community groups and other partners in Nunavik, to promote and ensure accessibility and continuity of patient care. The nurse will do the follow up of the clientele in the communities, as well as act as the liaison for the hospital and psychosocial intake. The nurse will be in charge of the clientele follow-ups in the community, and will also act as the liaison with the hospital and psychological intake. Can be called upon to occasionally provide help and replace in other Community services programs (mental health, home care, chronic diseases, etc.). Any other related tasks and duties as per the needs.

REQUIREMENTS

Must hold a Bachelor of Sciences in Nursing

Member in good standing of the O.I.I.Q.

Possess a minimum of 2 years of pertinent experience working with mental health clients

Experience working with community partners

Proven capacity to intervene during crisis situations (i.e. aggressiveness and suicidal risk)

Knowledge of legal aspects regarding psychiatric clients (court orders, preventive measures care, etc.)

Must be bilingual English and French, knowledge of Inuktitut would be an asset

Must be available to travel in the six communities of Ungava Bay

Knowledge and experience with an Inuit clientele would be an asset

Certificate in addiction would be an asset

Valid driver’s licence required

SALARY : Min. : $ 1015.50 / week Max. : $ 1799.25 / week

ISOLATION PREMIUM : 203.66 $, according to family status

HIGH COST OF LIVING : $ 74.17 / week or more, according to family status

RETENTION PREMIUM : $ 391.86 / week

Any employee recruited in Quebec more than 50 kilometers from the locality in which she / he is called upon to perform her / his duties, will be granted annual trips and lodging unit as per her / his status, shared lodging if necessary or transit for a temporary but undetermined period.
