Registered Pharmacy Technician - Part-Time - Northeast Edmonton, AB - Healthcare

Are you a Registered Pharmacy Technician who loves the buzz of community pharmacy but needs a schedule that fits your life? We are looking for a skilled RPhT to join a pharmacy team in Northeast Edmonton.

In this permanent part-time role, you will do more than just count pills. You will be a key player in the pharmacy’s clinical workflow, utilizing your full scope of practice to perform final checks and support pharmacists with clinical services. If you are looking for consistent days (Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays - more details on shift timing follows) with a team that values your expertise, this is the role for you.

Consistent Schedule : Guaranteed hours on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays.

Responsibilities

Registered Pharmacy Technician - Part-Time - Northeast Edmonton, AB - Healthcare

As a Registered Pharmacy Technician, you will be the final checkpoint for accuracy and a vital support system for clinical delivery. Your duties will include :

Product Verification : Perform independent final checks on prescriptions filled in-store, including vials and compliance packaging (CPAKs).

Central Fill Management : Conduct final checks and reconciliation for orders arriving from central fill to ensure accuracy before patient pickup.

Clinical Support : Act as the first point of contact to screen patients for eligibility for clinical services, allowing Pharmacists to focus on patient care.

Medication Reconciliation : collaborative engagement with patients to conduct Best Possible Medication Histories (BPMH) and medication reconciliations to ensure safety and adherence.

Workflow Efficiency : Assist in managing the daily flow of the dispensary, ensuring orders are processed in a timely manner.

Qualifications

Registered Pharmacy Technician - Part-Time - Northeast Edmonton, AB - Healthcare

Licensure : Must be a Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPhT) in good standing with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP).

Experience : Previous experience in a community or retail pharmacy setting is required.

Availability : Must be available to work Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays.

Technical Skills : Proficiency with pharmacy software (Kroll or similar) is an asset.

Communication : Strong verbal communication skills to effectively interview patients for medical histories and clinical screening.

Detail-Oriented : A keen eye for accuracy regarding product checks and compliance packaging.
