We are a warm, friendly, and reasonable family in Markham looking for a caring and reliable nanny to help look after our twin toddlers (almost 2 years old). This is a live-out, part-time position focused on both childcare and housekeeping. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.

We are seeking someone with prior childcare experience, ideally with toddlers. The ability to reliably commute to our home is important — having a vehicle would be ideal, although Markham public transit is available. Flexibility is appreciated, as the schedule may occasionally shift — for example, helping earlier if a child is sick and unable to attend daycare, or assisting with outings such as medical appointments or playdates. Any changes would always be discussed in advance. At this time, we handle all meal preparation ourselves.

This is a general outline of the role, and we are open to adjusting things together. For now, we are looking for someone Sunday to Monday. From approximately 2 : 00 pm to approximately 8 : 00 pm on Sunday and from 12 : 00 pm to 8 : 00 pm on Monday. There is also opportunity to have more hours during the week and weekend. Our twins attend daycare full-time on the weekdays, and we handle drop-off and pickup. From 12 : 00 pm to 4 : 00 pm, responsibilities would primarily involve housekeeping, including laundry, vacuuming, and tidying. We do not need any meal prep at this time. Once the twins return home around 4 : 00 pm, the focus will shift to toddler-related tasks such as bathing, feeding dinner, and helping with their evening wind-down routine.

We are also looking for occasional weekend support, particularly in the December break, typically between 8 : 00 am and 7 : 00 pm, involving a combination of childcare and housekeeping. December can serve as a trial period for both sides to ensure a great fit moving into the longer-term weekday role.

We also require someone who is fully vaccinated and able to provide references and a background check.
