Job descriptionGraduate of an accredited ultrasound program or equivalent. Active registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO) . Member of Sonography Canada with Canadian credentials or actively pursuing credentials through the Canadian Clinical Skills Assessment (CCSA). Proficiency in a variety of sonographic examinations including general vascular and obstetric imaging. Preferably 12 years of experience as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer. Strong knowledge of ultrasound physics and crosssectional anatomy. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to provide empathetic patient care. Attention to detail and ability to produce highquality diagnostic images. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced healthcare environment. Strong organizational and time management skills. Hospital or diagnostic imaging center setting. May require standing for extended periods and assisting patients with mobility. Job Summary
We are seeking a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to perform highquality ultrasound imaging procedures. The successful candidate will collaborate with healthcare professionals ensure patient comfort and produce diagnostic images that support accurate clinical decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures including abdominal obstetric gynecologic vascular and small parts imaging as required.
- Evaluate images for clarity accuracy and diagnostic quality and provide preliminary observations to radiologists.
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process answering questions and ensuring their comfort.
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment troubleshooting as necessary.
- Document findings and maintain accurate patient records in compliance with organizational and provincial standards.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with radiologists physicians and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in sonography and imaging techniques.
