Job descriptionCu rren tly enrolled in a full-time PhD program in Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or a related technical field. Proven experience contributing to research communities, including publishing papers in major AI conferences or journals. Demonstrated ability to work independently to solve complex technical problems, such as through research projects, open-source contributions, or coding / math competitions.
Our team has an immediate 3 month Internship opening for a Researcher.

About the Job :
- The Student Researcher Program at Huawei Canada aims to foster academic collaborations with PhD students from leading Canadian universities through AI research initiatives.
- This position provides the opportunity to lead cutting-edge research projects, collaborate closely with Huawei Canada’s researchers and engineers, publish in top-tier AI conferences, and contribute to AI innovations for Huawei’s consumer electronics products, including mobile phones, laptops, smart TVs, smart glasses, etc.
- Collaboration with the candidate’s PhD supervisor is encouraged to support their academic goals and PhD thesis.
- Research topics may include : Multimodal agents for digital automation, Image, and video generation Efficient LLMs and Generative AI.
