Who we are looking for :

CRD Corporate IT is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Entry-Level Procurement Specialist to join the Service Management team. In this role, you will support the procurement process for all CRD-related products and services, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of hardware, software, and other technological resources. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to assist in managing vendor relationships while maintaining the highest standards of efficiency and accuracy.

The team you will be joining is a part of Charles River Development (CRD), that became a part of State Street in 2018. CRD helps create enterprise investment management software solutions for large institutions in the areas of institutional investment, wealth management and hedge funds. Together we have created the first open front-to-back platform - State Street Alpha, that was launched in 2019.

What you will be responsible for

The Procurement Specialist :

  • Assist in the procurement of CRD hardware, software, and services, ensuring that purchases align with company needs and budget.
  • Support the State Street procurement team with vendor management, including obtaining quotes, assessing vendor performance, and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Process purchase orders and track order status from initiation to delivery, ensuring orders are completed within the required time frame.
  • Maintain accurate records of CRD procurement transactions, including purchase orders, contracts, and invoices.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to identify technological needs and specifications for new projects or upgrades.
  • Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure proper invoicing, payments, and financial tracking for IT purchases.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both internal teams and external vendors.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Basic understanding of IT hardware, software, and networking terminology (desired).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) or similar office tools.
  • Familiarity with procurement software or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems (preferred).
  • Experience with Risk Management a plus.
  • Familiarity with Beeline a plus.
  • Additional requirements

  • Travel may be required for up to 5% of the time.

    Salary Range :

    65,000 - $102,500 Annual

    The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
