Job Description

Maple Creek has an excellent opportunity for a 2 motivated family physicians to work closely with other health care professionals in Southwest Saskatchewan. This is a contracted position where the physician will join another 2 physicians, as part of a central primary care team to deliver health services to the community and a visiting clinic. Call responsibilities are 1:4 and emergency on-call services are remunerated as per ERCP (Emergency Room Compensation Program) rates set by the Medical Services Branch, Saskatchewan Health.

The successful candidate may be eligible for:

The which provides up to $200,000 over five years to family physicians practicing, or returning to practice, in rural and remote communities in Saskatchewan
The , which provides financial reward to physicians who practice in the province for extended periods ranging from $3,500 - $7,000

Job Qualifications

Certified or eligible to be certified with the College of Family Physicians of Canada
Regular or Provisional licence with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (or eligible to be licensed)
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
Recommended - Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Valid driver’s license
Successful Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) credentialing including but not limited to acceptable reference checks and criminal record check with vulnerable sector
Current Canadian Medical Protective Association coverage
Legal entitlement to work in Canada
