Job Description

The operates as a primary healthcare group practice where physicians provide services for approximately 3,500 people within the community and surrounding area. The Town of Tisdale partnered with the Saskatchewan Health Authority in the development of the new community health complex. This facility encompasses the hospital, long-term care, 24/7 emergency services and the new medical clinic. The facility also houses community health services, therapies, public health, community wellness and much more. The relocation of these services to the Healthplex improves client access to physicians, mental health and addiction services, acute care, home care and long term care staff.

Job Duties:

Examine patients and take their histories, order laboratory tests, X-rays and other diagnostic procedures, Consult with other medical practitioners to evaluate patients' physical and mental health, Prescribe and administer medications and treatments, Provide pre-natal and post-natal care, Advise patients on health care, Report births, deaths, contagious and other diseases to government authorities, Communicate health promotion, disease, illness and accident prevention to patients, Perform patient advocacy role, Provide counselling and support to patients and their families on a wide range of health and lifestyle issues, Provide emergency care, Participate on institutional committees.

Job Qualifications

• Fluent written and spoken English Language.
• Must be eligible for licensure with the .
• A degree in medicine and a completed Family Medicine Residency Training Program.
• Current coverage.
• A valid Saskatchewan driver's license.
• Criminal Record Check.
• No experience required, but considered an asset.
