Your work environment at EXP

EXP’s St. John’s Earth and Environmental group is currently seeking a Materials Testing Technician / Technologist for its materials testing laboratory in Mount Pearl and projects in St. John’s and surrounding areas. Reporting to the Practice Manager, the successful candidate will provide appropriate technical services to Project Managers and Engineers for those projects assigned.

What a day at EXP has in store for you

• Working closely with Project Managers, the successful candidate will be responsible mainly for the completion of laboratory testing and also various field inspections, and associated reporting for laboratory testing and construction projects.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for :

Executing laboratory materials testing (asphalts suites; concrete compressive strength testing; grain size analysis, proctors, etc.) and field inspection work as may be necessary (asphalt – field compaction; concrete – field casting of concrete cylinders, slump, air content; soil – field compaction testing);
