Job descriptionEnsuring sample identification is correct and specimen requirements are met according to established procedures. Ensuring quality control standards are maintained, investigating missing samples and performing routine maintenance on laboratory equipment. Recording, interpreting and / or approving test results. Maintaining accuracy of appropriate documents Troubleshooting of clinical assays and equipment Identifying and reporting of incidents and non-conformities You thrive independently, applying sound decision making principles and ability to self-manage in fast-paced environment You bring a high level of interpersonal skills and you are a natural fit within a collaborative working environment Carry a CMLTO Registration as a practicing Medical Laboratory Technologist in good standing Proficiency with Word, Excel and Outlook at an intermediate level Solid ability to troubleshoot technical issues and provide recommendations for resolution Nice to have : experience in Microbiology Physical and Environmental Demands Ability to lift 30 lbs. (pounds) High visual requirements Repetitive fine motor movements of hands Perform duties in stationary standing / sitting positions Exposure to noise, chemicals, solvents and bio-hazardous and radioactive materials Shift work required
