Job description
Quick Overview
Location : South Windsor
Schedule : Wednesday–Friday, 3 : 00 PM – approximately 7 : 00 PM (some flexibility available). Similar hours would be available Monday & Tuesday with his mother.
Child : One Grade 1 child
Responsibilities : School pickup, meal prep, light household help
Pay : $22–$28 per hour depending on experience and responsibilities, with opportunity for additional hours for someone proactive and dependable.
About Our Family
I’m a busy single father in South Windsor looking for a dependable, warm, and proactive nanny / family assistant to support my Grade 1 child and assist with the day-to-day flow of the household. Having some extra support will allow me to spend more quality time with my family while making sure everything at home stays on track.
Our home is active and engaged, and things can be fun and energetic at times. I’m looking for someone who is comfortable in that environment and able to confidently take care of their responsibilities while we go about our family routine.
Our Grade 1 child is curious, energetic, and enjoys playing, chatting, and being active after school.
The goal of this role is to help the household run smoothly so we can focus on enjoying our family time together.
I value clear communication, reliability, and creating a respectful working environment.
Schedule
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
3 : 00 PM – approximately 7 : 00 PM (some flexibility with end time)
School pickup is at 3 : 15 PM.
Responsibilities
- School pickup (must have reliable vehicle)
- After-school supervision and engagement
- Prepare simple, healthy dinners
- Light housekeeping
- Occasional small errands if needed
Ideal Candidate
- Responsible and punctual
- Comfortable with children and pets
- Positive, adaptable energy
- Able to work independently without constant direction
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Prior childcare experience preferred
- First Aid / CPR is an asset
