The engineering lead will be responsible for leading and overseeing critical technical and operational functions in the delivery of safe, efficient, and reliable rail infrastructure projects. This role focuses on ensuring systems safety assurance, integrating rail corridor access, delivery readiness assurance, planning and integrating work, overseeing testing and commissioning processes, and coordinating the hand back of completed project work for entry into revenue service. The ideal candidate will bring extensive rail industry experience, particularly in project hand back and revenue service entry, and possess a deep understanding of regulated industry standards.
You'll be responsible for :
Lead systems safety assurance initiatives to ensure that all rail infrastructure and operations meet regulatory, safety, and compliance requirements.
Integrate Lakeshores rail corridor access to facilitate project work, coordinating with operations and other stakeholders to minimize disruptions to regular services.
Lead and oversee testing and commissioning activities to ensure that all systems and components are functioning effectively and in compliance with operational standards.
Oversee the hardback process for completed project work, ensuring a smooth transition of assets and systems into operational status.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support project objectives and address any compliance or operational concerns.
