Job descriptionPost-secondary degree in Mechanical Engineering or another relevant discipline required. Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is an asset. Professional Engineering Designation (P.Eng) required. 6+ years of experience in Mechanical Engineering for industrial, commercial, and / or institutional buildings. Strong background knowledge in Building Design with an emphasis on mechanical systems (HVAC / Plumbing / Fire Protection). Knowledge of applicable codes and standards such as the Canadian National Building Code (NBC), Ontario Building Code (OBC), etc. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to meet deadlines / successful completion of deliverables. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Familiarity with the LEED accreditation process is an asset. Type : Full-time Location : Scarborough, ON Eligibility : Applicants must be eligible to work in Canada.

Duties and Responsibilities :
- Prepare the design and complete load calculations, schematics, equipment selection and system concept report.
- Prepare the contract documents including the specifications.
- Evaluate shop drawing reviews.
- Manage projects from design through construction.
- Ensure ASHRAE and LEED compliance where applicable.
- Direct, review, and approve project design changes.
- Engage in meetings with clients, contractors, and other consultants regarding project reports and findings.
- Provide expertise and guidance in the identification, analysis, and resolution of problems.
- Other duties as assigned.
