Job Summary & Responsibilities
Terry Fox Elementary is a Kindergarten through grade 5 school with approximately 290 students. We have a diverse student population, and we are passionate about providing a welcoming and safe school culture where all our students have the opportunity to grow and thrive. As a staff we focus on being trauma-informed, and on embracing the First Peoples Principles of Learning in our classrooms. We work collaboratively with each other and with families to meet the needs of all our students.
This half-day PHE position is scheduled for Fridays.
Education & Experience
Teacher training at the level specified in the posting with major / minor in Kinesiology
Practicum work in Physical Health Education at the elementary level
Experience teaching Physical Health Education at the elementary level
Successfully complete and maintain non-violent crisis intervention certification
Eligible for B.C. Certification
Satisfactory teacher evaluation and / or final practicum reports

Caring & Inclusiveness : Create and maintain an environment that is caring, inclusive and supportive of all students
Flexibility & Adaptability : Demonstrate flexibility in the ability to adjust and adapt to changing circumstances
