We are currently looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for translating project and product requirements into safe, easy to use and efficient designs and modules. Additionally, you will develop, build, and test systems and modules, and occasional project management.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Participate in concept design to achieve quality final product design
- Participate in design reviews, product validation and estimates
- Utilizes quality assurance processes including drawing reviews, design reviews, DFMEA, etc.
- Supply relevant information to help with BOMs and engineering masters
- Provide technical and engineering support
- Ensure quality control and cost efficiencies
- Exercises individual judgment and initiative in the application of engineering principles, techniques, and methods.
- Participates in build and test of prototypes
- Frequently communicates with sales, production, vendors, and other engineering departments.
- Plans and directs work for engineers, drafters, and coop students on assigned projects.
- Designs and optimizes mechanical components and assemblies.
- Develops drawings with consideration for manufacturing techniques.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality assurance processes and practices.
- Mentor and train junior team members, sharing expertise and best practices.
