Base pay range

CA$55,000.00 / yr - CA$70,000.00 / yr

Position

Accounting Coordinator – based at our West Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada location at 3725 Boucherie Road.

You’ll handle accounts payable and receivable, cash management, reconciliations, project cost tracking, and support for budgets and forecasts. This role offers the chance to grow your career in a dynamic, team‑oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Accounts Payable coordination with external suppliers and coordination for payment with Head Office
  • Matching invoices to purchase orders, gathering proper approvals, and assigning GL coding
  • Keying of A / P invoices into the accounting system or uploading files, submitting for payment
  • Processing payments of approved suppliers with credit cards
  • Reconciling supplier and credit card statements
  • Processing employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies
  • Assisting with inquiries regarding payment status
  • Overseeing internal cash handling system, including daily cash counts and bank deposits; performing daily reconciliation of cash
  • Preparing cheques and cash deposits
  • Performing daily sales reconciliations
  • Preparing customer invoices and following up on outstanding A / R for on‑account customers
  • Reconciling customer accounts
  • Performing project and cost tracking for construction‑related projects
  • Working with head office to prepare month‑end working papers and journal entries
  • Assisting with preparation for any audits
  • Maintaining an accurate and complete trail of supporting documentation for all financial and bookkeeping activities
  • Maintaining a systematic filing system to support bookkeeping and financial records
  • Supporting Department Managers in providing bookkeeping needs and analysis of financial information as required
  • Participating in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts
  • Providing coverage for other Accounting team members as required
  • Performing other administrative tasks as required

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance, or related field is considered an asset
  • 3-5 years of experience in accounting practices in a high‑volume environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • General understanding of computerized accounting systems
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office Suite, QuickBooks Online, Adobe, and Google Suite
  • Accuracy and attention to detail while working under tight deadlines
  • Good interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to work both in a team environment and independently
  • Ability to follow through and complete overlapping projects
  • Good organizational, time management, and prioritizing skills
  • Ability to interpret and implement company policies and procedures
  • Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization

  • What We Offer

    The pay range for this position is $55,000 to $70,000 per year.

    It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of the range for their role. Actual placement within range will be contingent upon several factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, education, experience, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
