Job description
We are looking for a skilled Senior Finance Consultant to join our team in Scarborough, Ontario. This 3-month contract position offers an exciting opportunity to bring structure and efficiency to a dynamic organization.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in addressing key financial challenges, streamlining processes, and ensuring accurate reporting.
The candidate should be a proven Controller / Director Finance, with a track record of transforming and improving the Finance function.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct a thorough analysis of current accounting practices and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Develop solutions to address financial challenges and implement effective processes to improve month end close and accounting.
- Ensure compliance with revenue recognition standards, including milestone tracking
- Provide expertise in IFRS, as well as US GAAP and regulatory reporting requirements for the US market.
- Drive improvements in financial operations, focusing on accuracy and timeliness of reporting.
- Support the organization in addressing gaps in financial expertise and implementing necessary changes.
- Work closely with leadership to prioritize and resolve accounting and reporting issues.
- Designated CPA
- Proven experience in financial reporting, including month-end close processes.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP and regulatory reporting standards.
- Ability to analyze and improve financial processes and workflows.
- Experience with process improvement initiatives in a dynamic organizational environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to recommend actionable solutions.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
