Reena is actively looking to hire for the Marketing Assistant (Administrative Assistant) role in partnership with the Canada Summer Jobs Program.

The Marketing/Communications Assistant will works closely with Manager of Marketing and Communications and Specialist to provide clerical/office/administrative support to the team. The assistant will help with creating and designing as well as writing of marketing materials – brochures, flyers, infographics, and will work collaboratively in a team environment and help with other duties and projects as needed.

Key Responsibilities

Clerical/office/administrative support.
Assistance with creating and designing marketing material such as brochures, flyers and infographics.
Work collaboratively within a team environment
Help with other duties and projects as needed

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Qualifications:

Enrolled in a marketing, communications, public relations and related programs in a post-secondary degree program.
Experience in a Marketing, Communications and/or Social Media role is an asset (employment or volunteering)
An excellent writer who produces succinct press releases, web copy, articles, newsletters, and engaging marketing materials.
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
Knowledge in graphic design, and able to develop communications tools (brochures, bookmarks, presentations, and leaflets)
Strong computer skills, proficient in MS office programs and Adobe Suites (an asset)
Highly organized with attention to detail

As per the funder, the candidates must fulfill the following requirements:

Eligibility:

be between 15 and 30 years of age at the beginning of the employment period*
be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment** and
have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
International students are not eligible participants. As the objective of the CSJ program is to support youth entering the Canadian labour market, the temporary nature of an international student's time in Canada does not allow for a long-term connection to the labour market.

Reena offers a variety of services including: residential support, respite programs, counselling, therapy and advocacy.
