The Environment Market Leader - Ontario is a regional leadership position responsible for driving the performance, vision and growth of the environment market across the province, in collaboration with various Partners across Canada and throughout the enterprise. This role requires ongoing interaction and influence across Canada in tandem with the Western and Eastern Canada Environment Market Leaders, as well as both Canada and US National Environment Market Leaders. The Environment Market Leader - Ontario will work closely with the other Ontario Regional Market Leaders in Water, Transportation, Property & Buildings, the National Sector Leaders (Federal and Mining) the Environment Business Group Leaders, Client Relationship Managers, Service Line Leaders, and other leaders within the business.
Primary responsibilities include the development and execution of the strategic vision for the Environment Market across Ontario; as well as the collaborative development of the Canadian Environment market strategy and business plan with key focus on profitable and sustainable growth of GHD’s private, public, and federal sector clients; creative development and adoption of best practices, systems, processes and tools necessary to continuously improve and transform GHD’s environment business; positioning GHD strategically in the market through differentiated value propositions, thought leadership, and brand elevation; leading the development of strategic offerings and proposals that support growth and diversification of the environment market; prioritizing clients and industry sectors that are aligned with GHD’s strategy, vision, and core values; collaborating with leaders across the environment market, technical services and operations to execute and deliver projects; and supporting the recruiting, retention, and development of talent across the environment market in Ontario. There will also be opportunities to play the role of Project Director on exciting, large scale and projects.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in :
- Develop GHD’s Ontario environment business, ensuring a focus on creating medium- and long-term opportunities to enable GHD’s strong growth aspirations
- Lead the environment business development efforts for Ontario and collaborate with ENV Market Leader team across Canada for national strategy approach
- Assess market trends and strategize (greater than twelve months forward) towards future projects, programs, and differentiated solutions.
- Identify areas of practice within Region, based on client feedback and / or market trends (service lines) that require enhancement to meet present or future opportunities
- Increase business by improving and strengthening new and existing client relationships. Expand client base by proactively promoting GHD’s integrated solutions for the market in Ontario, Canada and across the Americas, consistent with GHD’s enterprise strategy and business plans
- Drive continued integration of Digital and Advisory into the Environment Market offerings, including new developments in project delivery and execution.
- Support effective delivery, including serving as a Project Director on appropriate projects / programs
- Collaborate with other Market Leaders, including counterparts in Energy & Resources, Property & Buildings, Transportation, and Water, to position and win multidisciplinary projects within the Region
- Represent and promote GHD at networking events, professional and industrial associations, society meetings, conferences, and tradeshows
- Attracts strategic hires for the Market
