Make an impact with our National Tax Services Group as a Manager. This diverse team of professionals provides best-in-class industry and technical expertise to internally drive the success of our Tax practice. As a trusted advisor, you’ll work internally to support the delivery of tax services, the development and coordination of key training programs and materials and the communication of tax matters.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain firm standards, processes and tools to support the delivery of tax services to our clients
  • Manage and maintain tax templates in accordance with the latest tax updates
  • Develop internal training materials and practice aids to support the implementation of firm standards
  • Facilitate and assist with firm-wide learning and development events as required
  • Research and keep up to date with the latest changes in local tax legislation; draft internal and external tax publications
  • Issue tax technical research and information/support to professionals throughout the firm
  • Prepare and participate in internal tax compliance and planning projects
  • Mentor, motivate and coach team members towards professional and personal development by setting clear expectations, providing feedback and conducting performance reviews

Skills and Experience

  • CPA designation
  • Completion of level 1 and 2 of the In-Depth Tax Program
  • Written and verbal French and English language skills, due to frequent collaboration with English-speaking teams/clients across Canada and some client deliverables/regulatory reporting obligation are in English
  • 4 to 5 years of relevant tax practice experience in a public accounting firm
  • Experience preparing and reviewing domestic tax compliance and implementing tax reorganizations
  • Experience with private companies and owner-manager taxation is considered an asset
  • Solid understanding of business, accounting, management and practice development principles
  • Proven people management, relationship building and leadership skills
