About our team :
Join the dynamic Market Analytics team within Loblaw Real Estate, where our mission is to strategically guide the company on "where" to grow and innovate. We leverage a customer-centric, data-driven approach to inform critical real estate decisions across our national retail footprint. This team is at the forefront of transforming complex data into actionable insights that shape the future of our physical presence and enhance authentic customer experiences at scale.
Why is this role important?
This role is pivotal. As a Senior Analyst, you will play a crucial part in evolving our market intelligence capabilities. You'll be instrumental in maintaining and developing advanced analytical tools and methodologies that directly influence strategic decisions, from new store development to optimizing existing locations, ultimately driving business growth and enhancing our customer value proposition.
What You’ll Do
- Drive Geospatial Innovation : Design, develop, implement, and enhance advanced GIS applications and solutions to support strategic real estate planning and market analysis.
- Optimize Data & Processes : Identify, develop, and implement efficiencies in market analysis, sales forecasting, and data management workflows, leveraging automation and best practices.
- Manage & Curate Critical Data : Oversee the maintenance, integration, and quality assurance of key datasets, including customer insights, demographics, competitive intelligence, and sales performance.
- Empower the Team : Provide expert technical support and troubleshooting for GIS and analytical tools, developing macros and automated solutions to boost team productivity and capabilities.
- Deliver Actionable Insights : Conduct in-depth ad-hoc analyses for various internal stakeholders, translating complex data into clear, concise, and strategic recommendations for senior leadership.
- Pioneer Analytical Methods : Continuously research, develop, and integrate innovative methodologies in location analysis, business intelligence, predictive modeling, and data visualization.
- Familiarity with AI / Machine Learning concepts and their application in data analysis.
Qualifications
Technical Expertise
Business Intelligence : Expertise in Power BI (DAX knowledge is highly valued), Tableau, or similar platforms for dashboard development and reporting.
