Job description

Duties and Responsibilities

:
  • Inspect heavy construction and off-road equipment to identify performance issues, wear, and mechanical failures
  • Diagnose faults using computerized diagnostics and other testing equipment
  • Disassemble, assemble, adjust, and repair major components and systems on heavy equipment
  • Repair or replace defective parts using hand and power tools
  • Test repaired equipment to ensure proper operation and compliance with manufacturer specifications
  • Perform routine maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, and preventative service work

Requirements:

  • Red Seal 421A certification or equivalent heavy equipment mechanic experience
  • 5+ years of certified experience working on heavy-duty or off-road equipment
  • Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and repair skills
  • Ability to complete major mechanical repairs, including component assembly and disassembly
  • Own tools required to perform the job
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract and reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment criminal background check

Wage Range:

The hourly range for this position in Ontario at the start of employment is expected to be between $45.00 and $48.00 per hour. However, the range offered is based on local job market factors and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
