Job Description

Employment Type : Temporary (2-3 months), Full-time (30 hours / week)

Hours : 8 : 00 AM – 3 : 00 PM (1-hour unpaid lunch break)

Location : Hybrid Flexible (Primarily remote with occasional in-person meetings in Sarnia office)

On behalf of the Employer we are looking for a Market Researcher with in-depth knowledge of local culture and market dynamics to help identify business opportunities across Canada and the USA. While this is a short-term research project, there is a significant opportunity for this role to transition into a full-time position in a different capacity within the company.

Duties and responsibilities :

  • Data Collection : Design and conduct surveys, and gather market data in Canada and the USA.
  • Data Analysis : Interpret data to identify business opportunities and consumer behaviors.
  • Reporting : Preparing reports and presentations with insights and recommendations.
  • Competitor Analysis : Studying competitors to understand their products and strategies.
  • Market Analysis and Forecasting : Understanding and segmenting potential customers based on industries and predicting future trends and market potential.

    • Education and Experience :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Product Engineering, Marketing, Business Development, Project Management, or a related field; or a combination of post-secondary education and relevant experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.

    • Qualifications and Skills :

  • In-depth knowledge of Canadian and American markets and culture.
  • Familiarity with the construction, agriculture, and marine industries in Canada and the USA.
  • Proficient in survey methods, data analysis, and reporting,
  • Reliable, adaptable, and friendly,
  • Innovative, with strong communication skills,
  • Interest in growth and long-term opportunities within the company

    • Tools :

  • Company-provided laptop.
  • Reliable internet connection is required for remote work.

    • Salary Range : $23-25 / hour
