Job description
Location: North Vancouver, BC
Salary: $75,000 per year, plus benefits

About Blonyx

Blonyx is an athletic performance brand that helps athletes achieve their athletic ambition.

Science is at the heart of everything we do. We turn it into performance nutrition systems that combine effective products with the support athletes need to use them properly.

Our content strategy supports this mission by translating sports science into practical advice, useful information and compelling stories to help athletes achieve more.

We’re looking for a Senior Content Marketing Manager to take ownership of this strategy and build it into a measurable growth engine for Blonyx.

The opportunity

This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who can improve our strategy, create compelling content and demonstrate its commercial impact.

You’ll learn what our athletes want to achieve, create content that educates and supports them on their journey, and turn their attention into website visits, downloads, email subscribers and sales.

You’ll also lead our athlete, ambassador and influencer community, recruiting, motivating and activating the people who represent Blonyx.

What you’ll do

Build our content-growth engine

  • Own and improve our education- and support-led content strategy

  • Identify the audiences, topics, formats and channels with the greatest potential

  • Turn sports science into practical, credible and distinctive content

  • Build systems/funnels that move audiences from discovery to our website, email list and products

  • Manage a consistent editorial calendar across social media, email and our website

Create and distribute content

  • Write, film and interview athletes, working with our contract video editor to produce content that attracts

  • Create social posts, articles, photography, website content and athlete stories

  • Brief and direct video projects with clear objectives, hooks and storylines

  • Manage Blonyx’s presence across Instagram, Facebook and other relevant channels

  • Test hooks, formats, angles and calls to action

  • Identify successful organic content for boosting and paid distribution

Lead our athlete community

  • Build strong relationships with Blonyx athletes, ambassadors and influencers

  • Recruit people who align with our mission, audiences and sporting communities

  • Create a connected and motivated team, not simply a list of sponsored individuals

  • Develop campaigns and opportunities that encourage athletes to participate

  • Be assertive in securing UGC, interviews, testimonials and event content

  • Turn athlete partnerships into authentic content, reach, traffic and sales

  • Represent Blonyx at events, including occasional weekends such as the Whistler GranFondo and BMO Vancouver Marathon (you also get to participate!)

Measure and improve

  • Track audience quality, engagement, traffic, downloads, email acquisition and sales

  • Test content to understand what attracts and converts the right people

  • Analyze the journey from first interaction to conversion

  • Report clearly on results and use them to guide decisions

  • Demonstrate how content and athlete partnerships contribute to growth

Who we’re looking for

You are a commercially minded content marketer who combines creative vision, analytical rigour and a willingness to execute.

You understand that reach and engagement are not the end goal. You know how to earn attention, build trust and inspire action, and can demonstrate measurable results from your previous work.

You’ll bring:

  • At least five years of experience in content marketing, social media or digital marketing

  • Experience using content to generate sales, traffic, downloads, leads or email subscribers

  • Strong knowledge of analytics, testing, conversion and performance reporting

  • Evidence of personally creating and directing effective written, visual and video content

  • Experience developing and improving a content strategy process/engine

  • Experience managing athlete, ambassador, influencer or creator relationships

  • Confidence recruiting, motivating and holding people accountable

  • Strong interviewing, storytelling and relationship-building skills

  • Experience directing editors, designers or other creative contractors

  • An understanding of, and passion for, endurance sport, CrossFit, HYROX or other performance sport

  • A degree in marketing, sports science or a related field - or equivalent professional experience

Experience translating scientific or technical information for a wider audience would be an advantage.

The team

You’ll work closely with our Marketing Manager, who leads email marketing and supports content and community engagement. You’ll also receive help from a junior team member and collaborate with our contract video editor, advertising manager and designer.

You’ll provide the video editor with ideas, briefs and source material while remaining responsible for the creative direction and performance of the content.

Blonyx is a small company, so you’ll have meaningful ownership and direct access to decision-makers. You’ll be expected to learn quickly, test ideas and keep progressing.

How success will be measured

  • Qualified website traffic from content and social channels

  • Downloads, email subscribers and sales attributed to content

  • Growth and engagement of a relevant audience

  • Performance of repeatable content formats

  • Growth and participation within our athlete community

  • Quality and impact of athlete-generated content

  • Traffic and sales generated through athlete partnerships

What we offer

  • $75,000 annual salary

  • Benefits and free Blonyx products

  • Flexible hours and a hybrid schedule, currently with two office days per week

  • Occasional freedom to work from another locations, with agreement (eg to allow extended vacations)

  • Free entry to many local sporting events

  • Time off in lieu when weekend event work is required

  • The autonomy to experiment, make decisions and influence Blonyx’s growth

  • A meaningful opportunity to expand your skills and career

How to apply

Please send us:

  • Your résumé

  • A short note or cover letter with three bullet points explaining why you want to work for Blonyx

  • Ideally a link to your portfolio or past work

We’ll interview promising applicants as they apply and continue until we find the right person. The sooner you apply, the better your chances of being considered.

If you’re passionate about performance sport, know how to turn attention into action and want to build something with real impact, we’d love to hear from you.
