Job description

We are seeking an experienced Production Planner to join our dynamic manufacturing team. This role requires a motivated individual with exceptional planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills to ensure the seamless flow of production, inventory management, and continuous improvement efforts.

  • 25 / hour
  • Day Shift Monday to Friday 7 : 00 AM - 3 : 00 PM
  • Analyze work orders to ensure material and resource readiness.
  • Develop and maintain production schedules to meet delivery deadlines.
  • Estimate delivery dates for quotes and orders, ensuring on-time performance above 90%.
  • Conduct cycle counts for finished goods to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Forecast Work-In-Progress (WIP) needs and manage inventory turnover.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of production planning processes and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Implement LEAN practices to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
  • 5–10 years of production planning experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven expertise with ERP systems, preferably SyteLine.

  • Responsibilities

    Production Planning :

  • Ensure material and resource readiness from work orders.
  • Create and maintain production schedules to meet deadlines.
  • Estimate delivery dates to achieve 90%+ on-time performance.
  • Monitor and align production reports with plans and schedules.
  • Release jobs for new designs and manage BOM-aligned orders.
  • Resolve issues with MRP, raw materials, and transfers.
  • Schedule, expedite, and coordinate material movements.
  • Inventory Management :

  • Perform cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Forecast WIP needs and manage turnover efficiently.
  • Investigate and address inventory losses.
  • Monitor raw materials and schedule replenishments.
  • Troubleshoot purchasing issues and adjust MRP forecasts.
  • Maintain accurate ERP system data.
  • Continuous Improvement :

  • Assess and improve production planning processes.
  • Apply LEAN practices to enhance efficiency.
  • Prepare reports for senior management on planning outcomes.
  • Qualifications

  • High school diploma required.
  • 5–10 years of production planning experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven expertise with ERP systems, preferably SyteLine.
  • Superior organizational, planning, and analytical problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Demonstrated understanding of manufacturing processes and their complexities.
