Management accountant Jobs in Toronto, ON

Our client within professional services requires an Accountant to join their team on a 12-month contract basis.

Responsibilities

• Manage high volumes of accounts payable activities end-to-end, including invoice entry, approval coordination, and payment processing.
• Apply and track customer payments through various payment methods and follow up on outstanding balances as needed.
• Review and process employee expense claims in accordance with company policies.
• Oversee shared accounts payable and accounts receivable inboxes, responding to internal and external inquiries in a timely manner.
• Perform regular reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and intercompany accounts.
• Maintain balance sheet schedules and ensure account accuracy and completeness.
• Process recurring financial entries and coordinate related fund transfers.
• Support the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements, including reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Prepare internal financial reports to support business and departmental performance.
• Assist with annual audit activities by preparing schedules and responding to auditor inquiries.
• Generate ad hoc financial reports as required.
• Support indirect tax filings and ensure payments are prepared and submitted on time.
• Organize and maintain accurate digital financial records, including statements and supporting documentation.
