The Role
CPC Pumps International Inc. is a part of the Atlas Copco Group, a world-leading industrial group present in more than countries, over the span of approximately years. It is a company that serves customers with innovative compressor, vacuum, power, and industrial technologies. CPC Pumps specializes in designing, manufacturing, testing, and servicing of engineered heavy duty process centrifugal pumps (fully API Compliant) for the CCUS, Green Energy / Circular Economy, H2, LNG, Chem-Petrochem and power-generating industry since .
CPC Pumps is looking for a talented professional to join our team to fill the role of Accountant (Contract). This position will be for approximately a 15 Month Contract starting in August .
Purpose
The Accountant (Contract) analyzes financial statements, tax returns, and other documents and maintains accounting systems to ensure compliance with Canadian accounting standards and applicable laws.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and ensure their accuracy
- Support preparation and analyze budgets and financial forecasts
- Assist with monitoring KPI-s and explain variances
- Contribute to the development of accounting information systems
- Prepare, analyze, and design reports on operational and financial measures
- Month-end financial reporting assistance to Business Controller
- Providing support to PtP and OtC teams and resolving issues
- Responsible for Project Costing Accuracy and Review
- Responsible for all accounting / general ledger postings, and other general accounting tasks, such as but not limited to GL Account Reconciliations
- Monitor cash flow
- Responsible for sales tax accounting and submissions
- Other accounting tasks and projects as assigned

- Worked within a sales, service, and engineering environment
- Agility in working with Information Systems, including MS Office
- Knowledge of various ERP systems
- University degree in Business Administration, Accounting, and / or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years experience in accounting and / or manufacturing environment is preferred
- Office environment involves sedentary work with repetitive motion of the wrists, hands, and / or fingers
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where problems occur and workload is heavy
