Job Summary

The Emterra Maintenance / Repair team is seeking a skilled and collaborative Maintenance team member to perform equipment maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting across plant operations. This role includes operating power tools, maintaining conveyors and grinders, supporting production lines, ensuring a safe and organized work environment, and collaborating with the team to keep plant operations running efficiently.

Position Description

• Ability to perform various maintenance functions such as greasing and replacing bearings, replacing, tracking and lacing conveyor belts, operating power tools such as drills, sawzall, cutting torches etc.
• Ability to changing filters, troubleshooting, repairs to glass plant primary and secondary grinders and screens, etc.
• Ability to cleaning under conveyor belts, OCC separator, glass breaker screen and around the baling area, etc., as required.
• Ability to navigate the touchscreens for the optical sorters, container line, fiber line and glass plant.
• Collaborate with the maintenance and production teams to ensure the proper and safe operation of the plant.
• Ensure work area is clean, organized, and free of any safety hazards at all times.
• Observe safe work practices.
• Heavy lifting / pulling is required.
• The successful candidate must also be required to complete courses on the forklift, snorkel lift, fall protection and confined space entry.
• Other duties as required.
